Lancôme Artliner Review

Last week I was down to the last drop of my Make-up Forever Aqua Liner. I went into emergency mode. If there is one thing in my make-up routine I can’t go without it is my liquid liner! Now I wasn’t satisfied with the Aqua Liner although I liked the handle and the felt tip applicator (I find felt tips to be easiest for application) I did not like how the liquid dried. It would make it almost impossible for me to drag a mascara wand through my upper lashes due to clumping and though the product was waterproof and long wearing it would flake off in after slight rubbing. Anyway that’s a whole other story, so as a result of my disappointment I decided to do some research and try something new! I came across Lancôme’s Artliner. I had previously seen positive reviews on Sephora so I decided to give it a try. So far its been a week and I’m really starting to like the Artliner.

The one thing it took me a minute to get use to was the foam tip. It’s a little longer then most eyeliners and bends more to the shape of the eye when applying. I’m not sure if this would be for liquid eyeliner beginners I find it much easier to apply with a shorter/stiffer tip that would give you more control and precision. image The handle however is similar to a pen making it very easy and comfortable to grip. I purchased the noir which is a nice intense black, they also carry “ice black” but beware this is more of a gray/pearl. imageThe liner itself stayed put all day which always seems to be a problem with liquid liners and although it isn’t waterproof I did find it has survived a good amount of tearing (damn sentimental YouTube videos).

They do also carry Artliner 24Hr liner which is waterproof, both styles come in over 10 natural to vibrant shades! I would suggest this liner for anyone a little more comfortable with liquid liner application although with a little practice you can glide the product on pretty easily. At $30.50 the price point is a little high but liquid liners last right around 3 months so defiantly worth the investment. If you are a beginner and find application difficult I find Stilas Stay All Day waterproof liner very easy to apply, long wearing, and slightly cheaper at $20. Hope this reviewed helped, have fun lining those gorgeous eyes!
