Last month i attended the Internation Beauty Show in NYC. Every year there is a booth that draws a massive crowd creating pure chaos and to be honest curosity. Is the booth giving away great free samples or is this the hot product of the year?!? It was easy to spot the chaos this year it was creating congestion throughout one entire end of the show. So my friend (also a make-up junkie) and I decided to venture over. We found ourselves at the Dinar Airbrush booth. Now we had both looked into airbrush make-up but didn’t exactly know what it had to offer that was so much better then your typical cream foundation. However we figured why not watch some of the demos to see not only what the product looked like but how it was used and whether or not it would be something that we could easily figure out. We watch in awe over the results we were seeing. The make-up was flawless, the girls skin looked glowing but at the same time it looked like they had nothing on, they looked naturally flawless…every girls dream! The application seemed simple enough we are both make-up artist and were usually able to pick up new techniques and tricks pretty easily. So we decided to hop in line and treat ourselves to our very own Dinar Airbrush machines! The starter kit cost us roughly $129 for the pro version and this is a the show cost so it is slightly discounted from the regular cost. If you buy from there website the personal pro kit is $199 but more product comes with the kit as well as an instructional DVD. The kit from the show came with the machine itself, 3 different foundation shades you can choose from either the light, medium, dark collection, and several protectors for the machine when traveling. I also seperatly purchased the smokey eye kit which was backordered but shipped to me at a later date. That whole entire day I could not wait to get home to play with my new toy!!! Now i did watch several tutorials to help guide me and also to see how to use and clean the machine properly. The instructions it comes with are fine but I am more of a visual learner so I decided to take the YouTube route. Anyway I have played with the machine quite a bit now and have found foundation application rather easy, it is the eye shadows that I am having trouble with. But i was finding when I decided to wear my airbrush make-up to work I was running late in the morning and when I say late I mean like 20minutes (luckily I arrive to work 30minutes early lol)! So is it worth the extra time every morining?!? To me nothing is more important then sleep so if applying airbrush make-up means waking up 20minutes early then probably not. Don’t get me wrong I love the airbrush look and feel but for work I don’t see enough of a difference to change my morning routine.

What I used for my everyday look. Dream liquid mousse in natural beige, dream wonder powder in Carmel, and Super Stay 24 Concealer in ivory (all maybelliene). Tarte “power couple” Amazonian clay bronze and blush duo, and Eco tools powder brush.
